Bridge Substance Misuse Programme
Providing activities, support and housing for people with drugs or alcohol.
Bridge is a peer support project which links volunteers who have recovered from alcohol and/or drug misuse with members with serious substance misuse problems. There are recovery workers who work with members to sustain their recovery and staff who specialise in advice and guidance on benefits, housing and employment.
Eligibility
Had or have a drugs or alcohol problem. Age 18 and above
Hours and Duration
Main office Monday 10-4pm, Wednesday 12pm-4pm and Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9.30am-4pm

CAN Young People’s Team
CAN YP Team is the specialist substance misuse service for young people in Northamptonshire.
- CAN Young Peoples Team is a free, confidential drug and alcohol service
- for young people under the age of 19 and their families/carers in Northamptonshire.
Eligibility
Under age of 19. A young person concerned about their own or someone else’s substance abuse as well as those needing an opiate substitute prescription (methadone, subutex) or detox
Hours and Duration
Main office 9.30am-4.30pm Monday to Friday. However, we usually meet with young people in a location which suits them (school, community etc)

Detached Youth Work Groundwork Northamptonshire
- Informal educational sessions and projects to meet the needs of young people
- Local Anti-Social Behaviour meetings and sessions covering wide areas of issues
- 1:1 Mentoring for those young people in need of intensive support.
- Sports and arts sessions to divert the young people from ASB into positive activities.

Northamptonshire Rights and Equality Council
NREC campaigns for social justice in Northamptonshire. We will undertake this work regardless of race, colour, religion, disability, age, sexuality, transgender status or gender.
- Support and represent individual victims of discrimination, support victims of hate incidents
- Monitor hate incidents
- Raise awareness of the rights of individuals not to experience discrimination and to have their human rights upheld

We are a registered Charity and Company Limited by Guarantee operating in the Kettering area and across Northamptonshire.

STAR
STAR, which stands for Support, Treatment, Advice and Recovery, provides a single front door to access drug and alcohol support services. The service can be used by clients, family members of those with drug and alcohol problems and professionals who work with clients with substance misuse issues.
STAR is made up of a number of partners, offering a comprehensive offer through one single point of contact. The following services are part of the new STAR organisation:
- Aquarius – Provide alcohol training for professionals
- The Bridge – Peer support project for people who want support to control, reduce or cease their drug/alcohol use
- Family Support Link – Work to reduce the physical, psychological and emotional harm caused to families living with, or caring for someone who is addicted to drugs/alcohol
- NGAGE with Aquarius – An early intervention drug and alcohol service for young people aged 10-18.
- Substance to Solution –Adult (Over 18) recovery focused support and treatment for drugs and alcohol.
Eligibility
Any person within Northamptonshire who needs treatment and support in relation to their own or someone else’s substance misuse.
